| I have explored the history of cameos as well as the subjects and materials that have been used in them. Cameos are very old form of jewellery and they have changed during the years but some elements have always remained. Cameos tell us a story of our time. |
In my brooches I wanted to combine something old and traditional with new technique and design. I use sandblasting to create my cameos in bottoms of glass bottles and I use the same subject that has been commonly used in cameos for a long time; a silhouette portrait of a woman. |
